1. Weather和天气有关的时候
weather是不可数名词：天气，the weather可以直接用作天气预报讲，等于the weather forecast。例如：
I always watch the weather after the news.
新闻之后我总是要看天气预报。
有一个俗语：in all weathers：无论天气好坏，无论阴晴冷暖
There are homeless people sleeping on the streets in all weathers.
不论天气好坏都有无家可归的人露宿街头。
2. Weather 和天气无关的时候
Weather作动词讲时和天气没多大关系。
①平安地渡过
Nothern Ireland weathered the recession better than any other region in the UK.
与英国其他地区相比，北爱尔兰更为顺利地熬过了经济萧条时期。
3. 与Weather有关的习语
①keep a weather eye on sb/sth对...随时留意
例如：

②under the weather
Under the weather沿用至今有一百五十来年了。有人推测这个习惯用语原来可能指有的人由于海上风急浪高而晕船，感到身体不舒服。现在，under the weather就是指身体不适，不得劲儿。
She just phoned to tell me she's under the weather today. She's come down with a headache and a bad cough so she can't go out with me tonight.

Fair-weather好天气中的朋友，这个表达的含义就是不能共患难的酒肉朋友。
